Most recently Gord Downie Pier has become a local favorite great for the whole family, or walk along the waterfront path and find your own spot to have a picnic or soak up the views down by city Hall overlooking Lake Ontario!
Kingston also sits right on the Thousand Islands, a world-renowned attraction and some of the best boating in the world! Enjoy a day at Boldt Castle and take a tour, anchor and hang out on one of the many beaches or camp at a public campsite! Take the FREE Wolfe Island Ferry and enjoy the ride and explore what the Island has to offer! Boat enthusiasts can even take the locks all the way up to Ottawa on the St.Lawrence River for a leisurely boat trip!
Besides the GORGEOUS Thousand Islands, North of Kingston rests Frontenac County, home to many lakes, provincial parks for camping and canoeing with plenty of rental cottages to book for your stay! If you enjoy spending your summer by the water Kingston is a great spot to be!
